　　1.Innovation of refractory materials for cast iron

　　(SIL-RAM series)

　　Traditional lining materials for cast iron furnaces mainly use natural quartz sand as the primary raw material, with a typical chemical composition of SiO2 98.5% and Al2O3 0.5%. The purity and linear expansion rate of quartz sand from different mineral sources vary greatly. Natural quartz sand, due to its lower purity than electric fused quartz and larger expansion, affects various high-temperature performance of the lining (such as spalling, cracking, low strength, poor erosion resistance, etc.), especially during intermittent melting, where frequent temperature changes significantly shorten the service life and pose considerable safety risks.

　　As the requirements for the service life and safety of furnace linings increase in foundry production enterprises, traditional quartz sand linings can no longer meet the demands. Zhongzhu New Materials Industry has developed a series of electric fused quartz lining materials to meet different customer needs. The SiO2 content of electric fused quartz sand raw materials is >99.5%. Its production process involves selecting high-purity natural quartz sand and producing amorphous silica through high-temperature electric fusion at 1750-2200℃, then processing it into the required particle size for refractory material production. The linings made from electric fused quartz have the following advantages:

　　Usage Cost:

　　The cost of electric fused quartz sand materials is higher than that of natural quartz sand, but based on its inherent advantages, the service life is over 30% longer than that of natural quartz sand, and its bulk density is smaller, so the amount used is also less than that of natural quartz sand. With the extended service life of the lining, production efficiency is improved, and labor costs are lower.

　　Safety Risks:

　　Electric fused quartz sand linings have better resistance to molten iron erosion, and cracks are less likely to occur after the lining cools, thus reducing safety risks.

　　The Zhongzhu New Materials Industrial Electric Melting Quartz Sand Furnace Lining Series: SIL-RAM162/167/163/262/267/361/363/364. All incorporate electric melting quartz sand, which can be used as a standalone furnace lining or combined with ordinary quartz sand materials: used in the upper part of the furnace wall to solve the problem of easy iron drilling in the upper part; or used in the sloped bottom of the furnace to reduce elephant foot erosion. The Zhongzhu New Materials Industrial Electric Melting Quartz Sand Furnace Lining Series II: SIL-RAM 169CR/165CR/269CR/265CR, all add chromium oxide on the basis of electric melting quartz sand. The working principle of Cr2O3: it can improve the wettability of slag (calcium, aluminum, silicon, and other oxides) to refractory materials, reduce the penetration and reaction of slag with refractory materials, and extend the service life of refractory materials. It can be used as a standalone furnace lining or combined with ordinary quartz sand materials: used in the upper part of the furnace wall to solve the problem of easy iron drilling in the upper part; or used in the sloped bottom of the furnace to reduce elephant foot erosion.

　　The particle size design of steelmaking dry vibration materials: using a multi-stage particle size distribution and utilizing ultrafine powder technology to make the material closest to the ideal packing density, while improving the material's fluidity, making it easier to compact. By proportionally mixing multi-stage materials of different particle sizes, it maximizes the high density and low porosity of the product. Zhongzhu New Materials Industrial introduces high-purity magnesium oxide into traditional steelmaking materials and combines it with advanced binder design to create materials with ideal sintered layers, semi-sintered layers, while maintaining a certain loose layer.

　　Sintering mechanism of cast steel furnace lining materials:

　　In-situ generation of alumina-magnesia spinel, which belongs to a high-purity system, forms a self-bonding network without adding sintering agents, ensuring the material's excellent high-temperature performance. The reasonable gradation design results in a higher generation of spinel in the system, enhancing the material's erosion resistance.

　　STEEL-RAM 80CR/81/82/85CR/86/88/91/92, etc., introduce Al2O3.MgO, making the spinel formed at high temperatures superior to traditional cast steel materials. When melting stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, and other steel types, its thermal shock stability (crack tendency) and erosion resistance are better than similar products on the market.

　　Traditional induction coil protection materials are all applied using manual coating construction techniques, where the quality of construction (density, thickness, and surface flatness) is greatly influenced by the skill level of the construction workers. In recent years, as the size and power have increased, the strength and construction density of traditional coil protection materials have increasingly struggled to meet the requirements of high-power induction furnaces. Zhongzhu New Materials Industrial has pioneered the development of pouring induction coil materials, specifically designed for the pouring construction of large high-power coil slurries. 　　High-temperature alloys refer to alloys that can withstand certain stresses and have oxidation or corrosion resistance at temperatures between 600°C and 1200°C. They are metal materials used at high temperatures, based on high melting point metals such as Ni (1450°C), Co (1480°C), Mo (2620°C), and other elements.
