The ALU-RAM 122CU is designed as a dry-vibrated refractory for the melting of various copper alloys in coreless induction furnaces, suitable for both mold-based and mold-free melting operations. It is formulated with high-quality high-alumina raw materials as the primary constituents, with the addition of electrically fused quartz sand to enhance its volumetric stability. Through stringent control of particle-size distribution and binder selection, it effectively resists erosion, scouring, and penetration by molten copper, while maintaining a well-structured, loose backing layer that enhances the overall safety and performance of the furnace lining.
