SIL-RAM 120CU

SIL-RAM 120CU is a silica-based, dry-vibrated refractory designed for coreless induction furnaces used in the melting of copper alloys, suitable for both continuous and batch smelting operations. It is formulated with high-purity quartz sand as the primary raw material, supplemented by a high proportion of electric-fused quartz sand, which imparts excellent volumetric stability. Through precise control of particle-size distribution and binder dosage, the material effectively resists erosion, scouring, and penetration by molten copper, while maintaining a well-structured, loose backing layer that enhances the overall safety and performance of the furnace lining.
